At last, a LASIK alternative!

Too young to have LASIK (18 and up) ?  Your vision continues to change? Generally not a good LASIK candidate?

ATTENTION: Children and Adults!

Now you can Sleep your way to Great Vision!

Free yourself from daytime contact lenses or glasses during your daily activities without undergoing surgery and enjoy great vision! Recent clinical research combined with the latest corneal surface mapping technology, computerized manufacturing and space age oxygen-breathing materials have brought new advances to the science of corneal reshaping.

Corneal Reshaping Therapy (CRT) and/or Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) allows freedom from glasses and daytime contacts! For our purposes here, we will refer to both procedures as "CRT." A specially designed contact lens worn only while sleeping, reshapes the outer layer of the cornea. In the morning the lens is removed and "walla!"---Great vision without glasses or contacts!

CRT was approved June, 2002 by FDA. Safety in clinical trials and in practice was so good that no age restriction was placed on the procedure by FDA. Dr. Teles has been been treating patients with CRT since FDA approved them.

Because of this safety record, CRT has become popular with children as well as adults not good LASIK candidates. Treatment lenses never leave the house and do not require supervision at school. Parents love them because they are always under their supervision at home.

Great candidates for CRT are:

Children with active life styles and whose eyes continue to change. CRT can help slow or stop these changes.

LASIK CANDIDATES whose corneas are too thin.

Eliminate the over forty reading glasses.

There are many just not comfortable with the idea of eye surgery.

Some diabetic patients advised not to have LASIK.

LASIK CANDITATES whose vision continues to change but wish to have the visual freedom from glasses and daytime contacts.

Dry eye patients and eye allergy patients having problems with day time contact lens wear. The eyes are closed eliminating constant daytime irritation and lens awareness.

Active individuals who wish to freely participate in all sports without the interference of glasses or the bother of contacts.

Call Dr. Teles at 410-768-0202 for more information. Ask about a free CRT screening or consultation to see if your or your child might be a good CRT candidate.
