| Various learning problems, computer eyestrain, reading comprehension, sports depth perception, "ADD" and "ADHD" can be influenced by poor eye coordination and/or visual motor skill.
Dr. Teles has over 30 years experience, successfully treating hundreds of adult and pediatric patients with vision therapy.
Vision therapy is a program of eye exercises that can enhance the quality of visual performance in school, the work place and on the playground.
1) School: Reading skills and improvement in handwriting and copying ability skill when diagnosis of eye coordination and/or eye-hand coordination is made. Certain forms of "Dyslexic" reading problems can be helped with vision therapy and a new breakthrough with special COLOR lenses.
2) Control and prevention of myopia (nearsightedness):
Preventing and sometimes reversing myopia or nearsightedness is now possible with vision therapy when slow change of focusing is diagnosed.
3) Sports Vision: Exercises in eye hand coordination, speed of vision, peripheral vision reaction time, help to enhance improvement in sports.
Frequently, vision therapy services are reimbursable by medical insurance. (See the section on INSURANCE)
